Guiltythree
Author-sama (@Guiltythree), I hope you'll see this and shed some light for me please: Why is Cassie adamant about keeping her knowledge to herself? Especially since in most cases, she'll not be the one to pay the largest price for trying to change things: when she betrayed Sunny, it's Nephis and Sunny who paid the greatest price. Plus, she uses her knowledge to walk + fight, as well as get Sunny and the fire keepers out of trouble. Isn't that the same as changing pre-determined outcomes on a smaller scale?
Guiltythree:The foresight she uses to walk and fight is not the same thing as her visions of the future. As for why she is adamant to keep things she sees to herself, I think readers can guess it by themselves based on what is already written in the novel :]
I think people are wronging Cassie, it's true that she betrayed Sunny's trust, but she had to choose between him and Nephis, but it also didn't really hurt Sunny in reality. And the help she did to the cohort after the forgotten shore and even to Sunny in the tunnel is enough to make her forgiven. I really do not like the hate train of her just for a single mistake.
A person's [Flaw]. A fate upon awakening so absolute that not even the God's themselves can get rid of. The stronger the flaw, the stronger the aspect as if obeying some law of equivalent exhange. The [Weaver's Mask]. A memory of the highest rank (Divine) that can reverse one's flaw but not negate. Something that made even the steadfast Nephis falter momentarily. Then there's Cassie. Fated to be blind but after ascending, can use an ability with impunity to completely negate her flaw.I want to like Cassie, I really do. I don't even mind the betrayal. It's just that her existence itself cheapens the achievements of everyone around her. She's like a Korean novel regressor with knowledge of everything that will happen in the future and the ability to see other people's status window.
These creatures n Antartica can easily cross the ocean and becoming a deadly threat to the world. Darkness (undead) and the titans. The government is feeding them (more recruits), allowing more and more to flood to Antartica. I think this work with the timing of Cassie’s vision. (End of the world) There have been a touch of nostalgia, with the last birthday wkth her family. (While everybody’s busy) PS: it felt like we have been in Antarctica for 6 + months not 3 😳😳
