Comments of chapter undefined of Shadow Slave

Considering how they normally have to dig the soul shards out of the bodies of the Nightmare Creatures, and considering how skeletons don't have any flesh, is it possible these undead don't have any soul shards? Are they creatures that don't count as Nightmare Creatures, and instead are just golems created by the effect of some spell or ability or artifact?

Is it me or fo the chapter feel abit shorter then when we started?
