I don’t really get why some people in the comments are seeing her as bad in general. It’s not like she doesn’t want as many people to survive as possible if they are able to escape. She just means that if push comes to shove, escaping is the most important thing. She sees this situation to all of them being enslaved by the spell and she is speaking from her perspective of being a slave is not living and we should all die trying to rebel before submitting. If we all die trying so be it. My guess is that’s likely how her family died considering they were so powerful. That they tried to continue defeating the spell and end the nightmare it is inflicting on the world but failed. I’m guessing her goal is to get rid of the people like Gunlaug who would rather maintain the status quo where they are gods of the people and would rather just bask in their own undisputed power than try to rebel or let others rebel against the spell. I assume those kind of people would also be like her family’s enemies and that after she gets rid of them she would continue to try and fight the spell.

I love this version of neph. Her word finally seem to match up with the actions shes been showing. Throwing herself and anyone around her into situations that have 99% chance of death and all. MC is kind of lame. Nephis is simply acting along the rule of the jungle. The most powerful gets to lead. Honestly, for all of the jokes people make about CN MCs being ruthless, at least they act logically and practically without letting things that had to be done give them a mental breakdown.
