Im not a big fan of the new Scyther evolution and never heard of a Crystal Onix, you will also need mega evolution fanart of both when they get their mega stones so take that into account if you choose I also think vanilla Scizor and Steelix are cool enough on their own

Crystal Onyx sounds awesome but that's just cause Scyther is overused and new Scyther is an ugly duckling.

Crystal onix is good, but with its steel/ice typing, you would have two types, which are four times strong against it (fighting and fire), so you have to make him do resistance training against both types in the future. And still waiting for Cynthia to appear.
