author-san It occurs to me that the MC is recruited by luffy due to his strength. but that the MC decides to take the role of the "traitor" who tried to usurp the captain. Kind of like the MC explaining to Luffy that for a pirate crew to be complete there must be a character who tries to take the captain's position and stay the leader and be the rude guy who won't follow orders or something (so the MC just has to play the part and have fun annoying Luffy and the others)
