not sure if it helps at this point, but that's not how a flintlock works. flintlocks are muzzle loaders. load the powder, then the wad, then the ball, tamp with the rod. The hammer holds a piece of flint, pulling the trigger releases the hammer which rubs against a striker plate (it has a proper name but I can't remember it right now) causing sparks that ignites the gunpowder in a small pan under the plate. What you are describing is a breech load pistol using a cartridge. breech loading is newer than flintlocks, and cartridge rounds are more modern than breech loading. I know it's a game and all which is why I haven't said anything about multiple rounds in the flintlocks...but this chapter pulled them into the "real world" so to speak, so I figured I would say something.
