I like slice of life, OP world is hectic and chaotic so slice of life for pirate, navi or revolutionary army maybe will be good. Well, usually Jp LN have their manga and anime adaptation, so if you want to make original manga from novel you can choose Chinese or Korean novel.

fantasy or martial art with cultivation can be interesting considering the one piece world have martial artist, swordsman and many kind of fantasy beasts so it kinda worked and maybe the technique can be learned by those who will try to recreate it.
