At least the servants and a few knights are kind to Maxi. I still don't like what happened to her though, she doesn't deserve that treatment. The mistakes of the father should never fall on the daughter's shoulders. Maxi has never done anything wrong or treated them badly. Maxi take a deep breath, do not rush the process of improving your stuttering. You will gradually get there.

Bet Riftan was a handful when he got back to the training grounds… anyway, Hebaron warmed up to her the day they went to the market and saw what a sweetheart she actually is… 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I'm so happy that Hebaron and Elliott stopped by to show Maxi their support and some form of remorse. The knights were so out of line the prior day with their cold attitude (esp Ursuline). Maxi is first and foremost your commander's wife, if anything at least show respect to Riftan by not humiliating her. Who in the world treats their boss' wife in such a way?! That will always baffle me...

Finally Maxi is getting the love she deserves, I wish there's more of riftan in the next chapter. I absolutely love Ruth💖

shes improving slowly but surely, and she's impatient but what's MOST important is that she's making moves to improve even when discouraging things happen and/or the progress is slow!!

Yay, Maxi did it! Now to build up her self confidence.

Despite being happy about a handful of knights being apologetic and Hebaron even offering an open invitation to Maxi, I still wait for the time that not only Riftan but all of them, the knights especially, would know about hoW Maxi was treated by the Duke. Though I do see this will take a while—most likely Maxi will have to first win the opinion of the knights through her own merits before they find out, so that when they DO find out, all of them will be as enraged as Riftan about it. I really want to see Riftan, Sir Elliot, Sir Hebaron, and Sir Ursuline charging up to Croyso Castle as much as I want to see Maxi finally reuniting with her father and sister and standing up against them. 😩
