Why do I have the feeling that Evelyn’s parents are Rashta’s fake parents? 🤔

The other hindrance for Rashta, other than her not having a upbringing for becoming empress, is that she doesn’t think about the responsibilities of being an empress. She’s only concerned for herself that she thinks she’s powerful just by becoming empress. If she was any clever, she would know Sovieshu could replace any empress whenever he wants —he replaced the most competent Empress with a concubine, what’s to say that he won’t get rid of Rashta? And us readers *know* he already planned on getting rid of Rashta. 🥴 Rashta also doesn’t want to put in actual effort to be the empress. She says she wants to study, but the moment Navier left and she’s assured of becoming empress, she doesn’t want to study and keeps complaining. 🥴 No matter how pretty she is, even Sovieshu would get annoyed with her. Heck, Sovieshu is only asking her bare minimum and she can’t even do it. Karma will rain on Sovieshu when he realises he’ll have to see to the matters the Empress typically deals with ontop of his own duties because Rashta is too incompetent and won’t even try.

I want to remain positive for Navier: every lady would be threatened by her because she is a very competent empress!

Okay I don’t want to think badly of Christa as she hasn’t done anything as bad as Sovieshu and Rashta yet—but could she not have introduced Navier to the courtier??? Why did she wait for Navier to clear the misunderstanding? Isn’t it her job to do so? Or at least if she really had good intentions to make the transition for Navier smoother, she would have tried to smoothen things over better. 😤 IDK if this means she has her own form of greed and ambitions, or if she’s just incompetent. 🥴😤

I’ve read some comments before where people criticised characters and readers for hating on Rashta just bcs she was a slave or because she came from a poor background. On the flip side, I’d like to point out that Rashta is no better. She has criticised, mocked, and belittled the nobles, too. Immediately painting them as selfish and greedy, most notably Navier—despite so desperately clinging to be a noble herself.

The fact that Navier’s life is in so much turmoil and yet she still considers the people of the empire 🥺 Rashta would never, she’s been selfish and self-serving from the moment she came. 😤

I want Heinley and Koshar to be good friends. The chaos these two would cause. 🤣
