I agree with your assessment of Rias, the authors love to make of her some sort of calculating ultimate evil
Personality variation is interesting but all with common sense, there are fanfics that portray her as some young master of the Xianxia genre, it's every absurd thing I've read that it's refreshing to find something closer to "reality"
EasymodeX:Tbh I don't mind the variation of personalities they give Rias -- it's all variety and fanfic authors can write their stuff however they want. In the end, *all* characters are written with variations from canon. That's the point of fanfics in the first place, and as a reader it's fun to see how the authors write their OCs to interact with all the myriad Rias. In terms of pure canon Rias however, this author is definitely 100% correct. She is what she is. To argue about her canon nature is just dumb. That said, the entire controversy itself helps fuel the variety of Rias characterizations, so it has its own value I guess?
Author-san was just spitting facts about all the Rias basher. Basher, in general, are miserable little losers that need some anger therapy, especially the ones who don't tag it, and sadly DxD fanfics are overflowed with them, you just hate to see it man. But seriously, nobody wants to read about their warped OC characters that they claim are canon characters. Someone should revoke their Author-License.
