Good chapter, and I can't wait for more. however i don't see any surprise in jacob's issue, basically from start to finish it was described that he is arrogant and insecure, knowing he was not the 'fated' practically shouted that he would join one of the two sides when he found out. what was surprising was that he imagined it would come later. but it was now.

that final kiss between lily and Harry, was that on the lips? Author did not say specifically

Why? Jacob running off like that was practically placed up on a billboard long ago. I'm lost on how people would not only not seeing it as at least a possibility but actually say something like it was out of nowhere. They confusing this with another HP story they're reading?
