You are a good author. While the pacing is currently slow, there is a point to it. Fleshing out the characters and growing their personalities through their interaction and introspection has been great in the past chapters. If you decide to speed up, that’s your choice, but there has been nothing wrong with what you’ve done so far. Thank you!

I don't particularly care about the pace. Your writing is pretty good either way. On one hand it is easier to immerse yourself into the story with your new style on the other hand one can get quite anxious when nothing major happens after an update. With this chapter I almost thought that you are going the hidden genderbent Draco route with him having to pretend to be a boy in order to stay the Malfoy heir...
