They'll probably be watching him with the CDC cameras as he gathers all the weapons and ammo. Can he use skill books? Some electronics knowledge would be helpful, to rig batteries and solar panels. And to rig up some walker bait from smoke detectors and such. Did he ever give the handheld gaming console to Glenn? I think he alluded to having one.
You asked what can he when he is alone answer is making logical decions. With a group you have folow every bad decion like this. Most of the group still think they can get in a safe haven without any trouble, they are overly optimistic and only select few can defend themself in bad sitiuations. Bad teammates are more dangerous then any enemy you can face. Also, there is a chance that you will get backstab.
Thanks for the chapter! It's good to see that he did not go with them inside the CDC, and I hope he will get a lot out of it, when scavenge around the CDC. It will be interesting to see what he finds and also interesting to see how people will react to him, when they come out of the CDC? I would also like to say that I like the pace of the story, as I don't like it when a multiverse story just skips through things, to get to the next verse. At some point he will go to the next verse, but I really like that you immerse us in the current verse and don't just think of wanting to get to the next one! Again, thanks for the chapter! Looking forward to reading much more!
thanks for the chapter, in the hindsight of going to CDC still being a bad idea, MC proves that even with panic among the group he can think of advantages to take, its moments like this that truly present such great advantages, moments of panic that need quick decisions with people always try get to safity while ignoring everything else. I mean there is a honest to god arsenal in front of them but ignored it cuz there were some walkers within sight. another evidence as to why most of the early group couldn't survive for long.
I like how he calmly kept asking for the keys and is now going to work overnight to loot the militairy gear. He should be a lot safer if he takes out the group of 5 zombies whilst he's at it tough. I hope he doesn't forget to take the helmets and vests either. They're probably the most useful other that the armaments. Likewise, he should look for the units designated marksman. Should be a semi automatic rifle, dunno what type the national guard uses tough if they even have a designated marksman tough so they might have done it half assed and simply put a larger magnification on it and bipots as the only difference. I mean... It is the national guard... Not the army who gets all the new and shiny toys.
Story is going great so far on my part. We get to see him thinking what others had to think, like taking the gears and the weapons of the dead soldiers. A lot of people forget about these details in their stories and go for the hardcore plot. Again, great job [img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]
Are chapters like this the ones that make fanfiction worthwhile, why? Simple the part where the MC does not enter the CDC if not, stays to collect weapons, ammunition and other important things and in the original story these supplies are lost. Your fanfic is one of the best authors, please continue like this
For people who are angry at the author for the MC following Rick. Rick might be dumb and suicidal but let's remember that trust is very difficult among humans, when you at least know most of the character thanks to the movie you know how they would react in a hard situation . Rick, Glen and Tdog are trustworthy people , they will give that " extra step " risking their lifes to save yours. If he goes, he will never know who is a psyco that will kill him in his sleep. I rather be with dumb people who can learn and are proven in the show to be able to grow than a " fake facade " of a group which will do anything they want. ..
