is all over the place... and im not sure you know this author but its possible to learn multiple magic... even natsu qhen he uses lighting, is more like he learns lighting dragon slayer magic he is just not as good at it as he is with fire dragon slayer magic... so remember that the mc can learn any other type of magic... he just will not have time to be good at it

I know. It is just most mages don't use a lot of different magic spells, for example Makarov used a fire spell in the second chapter but never really does that again.
