the idea is solid but the problem lies with the rewards and the trials what kind of powers would you give the mc #1 wandless magic, #2 legilimencey, #3 Metamorphmagi, #4 Occlumens, #5 Maledictus curse, #6 animagus, #7 Parselmouths the bag of abilities just makes it to seven so my suggestion do the maledictus curse first Occlumens second animagus third Metamorphmagi fourth legilimencey fifth parselmouth six with wandless at seventh not too OP but make it so the mc has to struggle to get to the top and then go though alot of hurdles to master each skill now for the bloodline curse 🤔 you got the 28th families why not make the mc the 29th during the 2nd war his family was taken or killed for disobedience against Tom riddle and his lackeys thus we have a mc and Alfred situation with the mc having a little sister to take care of you can even base the sister on Luna lovegood personality type but more book smart and shy food for thought plug 🫡 if you do the trails your probably going to need merlin's grimorie from his family vault and gather the materials to perform the spirit ritual would be cool for the mc to gather statues for each dragon in the catacombs of the family home where the mc has to be the appropriate age to challenge the trails to earn the spirits blessings

so long as a tropes isn't done badly it's just a plot divice. Don't avoid them too much. people like them for a reason, just make sure they fit well. in the more recent chapters, your writing has gotten much more flowery with more intense descriptions. it's not bad, but it's a little overdone at times. my biggest advice is to just keep it consistent. Bouncing between flowery and spartan makes it tough to keep the immersion. overall, though, the story is well planned. you can see where the big baddie is, and nothing really snuck up out of the blue. I look forward to seeing how you'll rework it!

well I'm glad to see your going to continue to work and write your HP fanfic plug my suggestion though why not make the dragon a bonded dragon like what happens in eragon ya know a telepathic magical bond with the mc having the tattoo on his left hand after he finds the dragon egg in his uncles travel bag turns out the mc family has a long history of smuggling goods between the countries and during the aurors attack on the mc home he finds and bonds with the dragon 🤔 later on just give the mc an animagus form
