After trying the Gods they should ask after the Greybeards, after all there is almost certainly a healing thu'um, considering the Graybeards are isolated old men living on a snowy peak. Phaatunax may also be able to help through some lost knowledge or creating a new shout. But what really bothers me is that even knowing there are other worlds to check out, Charlotte is still letting herself be fooled into taking the story to an unnecessarily boring cliché.
