I like the use of 'dam-father'. The meaning was immediately comprehensible, and it's much better than calling an impregnable male 'mother'. Of course, I've also never understood why a same-sex male couple would be called 'husband' and 'wife' instead of both being 'husband', a discordant note I've frequently found in web novels.
A fine choice: dam-father. As a life-span human behavioral specialist, I am admittedly in favour of functional behaviour - not gender - as worthy descriptors of a character’s role. Your story-telling style and your delightful approach to enlightening your readers is truly appreciated! DAG of DAGseesTrue
