This was actually dope of gary. He cant spend time being famous and have his gang hanging. Once he is sure they are strong enough without him. Then he can pursue other things. Also after what he learned its best he honed not just himself but the other wolfs around him to become strong pillars that can fight if he wants to become a king.

Gary doesn't have anything left to gain from the afc anyway since he obviously can't eat his opponents and his gang makes more than enough money. Only thing he could get from staying in the afc is fame and it's probably not a good thing at the moment.

This was stupid the AFC was the perfect way to farm exp and improve his battle skills. The audience even mentioned it was possible to fight all week if they wanted. Gary should have used this to fight stronger opponents and focus on improving even at the AFA his stay as so short he didn't get the full benefits from the teaching. He needs a better foundation, getting experience and improving himself in fights. While the gang business and fights do help him grow as we've seen he had relied on his werewolf and system cause they have been life and death battles. Plus their is a gap between each major event and fight.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed at first. I wanted to see him shoot up to the championship in record time and get a ton of xp on the way, but I think this might be good too. Maybe it will get the attention of those in the top 50 and they will challenge him right off instead of having to fight 100 times through weak opponents to get there.
