at this rate the next necessity is a central bank, to keep track of (and adjust the value of) the currency. Also what happened to the age mechanic? I remember in the early chapters, any settlement that managed to research a specific number of stuffs from the tech tree would advanced to the next age.

They technically don't have a bank at the moment, in the same sense of a bank in the real world. There is just the understanding of value in the Mana Stones. So, yes one of the next things they will hae to worry about is a central bank to protect the interests of both NPC wealth and Player wealth. Because they don't have a bank, I wanted to hold off on giving them the Currency Technology, but it won't be long until they do
