Hey I haven’ read other comments yet but I wasn’t really too upset to be honest I’m actually pretty excited for the final chapter. Your expanation for why no alduin made complete sense and will allow for a much more fun ending rather then mopping up alduin and harkon one after another you have a fun dragonbornless rictus and restored vs harkon stormcloaks bang to go out on Really excited for it👍👍👍👍👍👍 Also just curious if you plan to continue with new stories after this and if so whether or not you have fleshed out ideas or just loose ideas about universes youd like to work with?
Ulfric allying with vampires and necromancers, the scum of society, to gain his throne? Of course. If he wants to reign in a very short period of time it's a good idea to take power over the humans/nords by force. But for the long term? Absolutely not. I think having a three-party confrontation without any alliances between the three would make more sense and would also require more tactics to not get attacked in the back by another group.
I don't quite see how the MC limited the progress of the dragonborn, he only traveled with her briefly (dragon attack, solitary ball, late support during Alduin's first attack) and then gave her provided I don't quite see how the MC limited the progress of the dragonborn, he only traveled with her briefly (one dragon attack, Solitude ball, late support during Alduin's first attack) and then gave her provided max level equipment at the last moment for the final confrontation. It was a good chapter, the reason he didn't participate in the Battle was acceptable it wouldn't exist in the games but here it worked well. About finishing the novel in the next chapter I think it's too fast, I accept the ending after this battle, then you show the results of it and the alduim when dragonborne returns and it can end with at least skyrim under the command of the restored. There would be a lot left out that could be covered in the novel, especially the elves, but you can leave it open, maybe you get the inspiration for a second season later.
As bludvein said, i dont think ulfric would want to ally himself with the vampires for the life of him. hes a racist fool who sees violent is the only way to free skyrim but thats all the more reason for him not to side with them. he started the rebellion to "save" skyrim and her people after all. that is unless he's under some powerful illusion magic magic that even his court mage can't detect. it would be fun if he hid. what will rictus do? will he kill ulfric or try to save and capture him. Is ulfric under the vampire seduction spell? i suspect the skilled in illusion is a vampire who started in morthal making his illusion skill much stronger. plus a fight between illusion and alteration would be hype to see. one controls the mind, and the other controls reality also, im sad that this gem of a fanfic is ending soon but i'm also glad that i found this a week ago! i also wanted to ask whatever happend to erik the slayer? did he joined the restored? if so did rictus gain the bonus abilities having another skilled under him. In truth i personally would love if this novel would continue in 2-3 chapter more but mr author, you do you it is your story after all and i thank you for making it be a part of my life. i just hope you make the end as open for a sequel as possible. we never know when you'll have a sudden inspiration. Once again mr author, thank you!
