hmm, maybe the wood dragon trap was crafted from Eldergleam wood and suppresses the power of dragons?

While that is true it is also a nice touch when authors find a logical way to explain inconsistencies. At the very least i appreciate the new/unique views they come up with.

Genist:Uh-huh, an entire hall big enough to hold a dragon AND the contraptions made to hold it made out of a super-rare and hard to get wood? Unlikely. There's no need to reason away things in SKyrim, the obvious answer is Bethesda done goofed for most of the illogical things you encounter.

balgruuf isn't so good,he killed his own wife for power, locked the deadric princes sword in the seler, drowned his sorrow in the mead hall and banged that lady who got harassed by the bard you had to beat up,his 2 oldest children are from his wife his youngest son isn't and he didn't take his daughter with his son but left it with the lady he banged, just search on YouTube on balgruuf and you see.

Kinda glad he dies though, since that sets the stage for everything to come after, with the rebellion and all. If he never died, it would make following even the basic plot much more difficult

You sure Torygg is dead? Not a body double that another player placed?

huh, i never even thought of the fact that the afterlife was many times confirmed in elder scrolls even to the common people..

So this means the Skyrim story begins in a few days the latest I believe since I think Ulfric was catched soon after. Would be cool to hide nearby and watch the execution. Maybe he would find out if there is a dragonborn or not.

Great chapter, your not going to bash Ulfric are you? And another question is r u going to make the shouts more like lore or keep video games mechanics?

Now that this isn't a game he can ware more enchanted gear. He should start learning to enchant soon to start making items for himself and practicing with other items he can give to his group to use to make them stronger.

Id like to start out by saying I love this story, and you do an awesome job! I always look forward to the new chalters. (From your authors note, I assumed that Rictus purposefully ignored the assassination of King Torygg, and if that’s not true feel free to ignore the rest of my comment) I am not against the decision, story wise, for the King to be assassinated, but If you could, would you mind elaborating on the reasons Rictus did not interfere with the death of King Torygg? It may have been mentioned and I just forgot, but I would appreciate it if you could expand a little on some things: It seems to me that it would have benefited Rictus immensely to save the King, simply for the stability it would bring to Skyrim. I can’t imagine it will be easy to stop all of the potential devastating story lines while also dealing with the unknown and possibly malicious/hostile skilled, even without a civil war going on. War would cripple the manpower and supplies available to combat dragons, much less the rest of the potential dangers. And as for not wanting the notoriety or personal danger that interfering could beget, Rictus can shift his appearance and teleport at will. The war would also have negative consequences on Winterhold by creating trading difficulties and potentially manpower losses, but Rictus seems personally invested in the region and I can’t Imagine he would ignore it. Also I find it hard to think Rictus would be so callous as to not care for, or consider, all the deaths the war would likely cause. However, I am a little rusty on Skyrim Knowledge, so I may be forgetting some key events or quests that, in the end would be massively worse for Skyrim than letting the war occur. Furthurmore, I don’t know the exact timeline, and maybe Rictus did, but simply didn’t take into account any shifts his actions, or those of the Skilled, could have caused to shift the Kings assassination forward in time. I’d appreciate it if you could assuage some of my doubts, and as always I’m looking forward to more!

I am wondering if its possible to learn the legendary Swordsmanship from the Redguard. They have the most broken Martial Arts I've ever read.
