I plead to you don't let her get away with no consequences just because she is a child if you don't kill her at least imprison her . she was brainwashed so what she tried to kill him it should not matter why she did what she did the fact is she tried to kill him and that is all that should matter. For the new author you have quite a decent fight scene there, maybe not great but at least slightly above average, and you do use terrain in the fight, the mc take advance of the fact she just a kid so don't have great strength or mass yet so won't take hit well.
