I think its a really bad idea to remove the lands from the nobles and take so much power from them till their titles dont mean anything because as the years pass by and the populations education raises they would be rebellions not by former nobles but by the common folks because they will see they dont need nobles nor royalty to rule them, even if that doesnt happy to him what about when his kids get into power?? does he think the populace will accept them ?? he is not being really careful there.
people forget about past.. next generation will see no reason for a royal to exist .. unless he implements something like Chinese style of monarchy
Daoistk8jeCG:Considering how many of the Nobels treat commoners, it'll probably just further ingratiate the people to him. Also once they are stripped of their lands/power there will be no reason to rebel against them. Especially if that's paired with the much better quality of life (cleanliness, work/life balance, proper pay, etc) why would they want to rebel?
Why don't these authors stop to think for a few minutes? This novel is set in medieval times, and everything happens at an astonishing speed. This seems more like a SimCity game than a time when people lived all their lives in a town and spent days traveling 50 kilometers away. No longer would I be surprised if they received an email or a satellite photo of the movement of the enemy forces. Such a low level of discernment in a writer is almost laughable.
