it would be nice if it was a security check for the empire... that would be a cool plot twist. It's better to kill such settlers right away (+ it would be nice if Edward could take away his special ability... catch the settlers and take their abilities, killing them at the same time, this is a living "treasure" (the best trap/hunting) it would be stupid if his empire was so easy to get into and go unnoticed... protection from settlers is essential... they are dangerous jerks, it's stupid to have such enemies at home... it would be ideal to catch them and take their power (if they keep coming).

I mean, HP world is essentially same as earth, just with magic. And Earth's population is still there to make new stuff. So there would definitely not be any easy ideas he could copy.

Wait ... Cheat / gold finger is attached to the soul. Here this individual is nothing but soul fusion, if he has a record of his life code he can detach their souls by Edward looking at his life code. He could find a space with a gold finger cut out and give to himself or someone else.
