This giant discussion around morality is quite strange In that, in the mind of the MC morality should only be followed and abided by if they believe karma exist. Otherwise what does good or bad actions matter in the grand scheme of the omniverse that the MC plans to explore. He who dare slay gods and transcend to become one. Being white, grey or black should only become a question/foil for the story if their are consequences for such action that are controlled by unknown and unseen factors. You can think of it like cultivation novels use the concept of karma and Luck to skew the scales of probability on a individual or group. In my opinion, the MC should be doing everything possible to be as "light grey" as possible. Obviously this creates restrictions and limitations on what he can do. But honestly what kind of person with the will and goal to explore the omniverse be so petty and short sighted to target children and cause suffering on the most vulnerable. Not because it's good or bad but because it should be beneath someone like him to do so. It's pathetic. I can understand when you are weak and desperate such things can be discharged. But their has to be a line here somewhere. So author its up to you to draw it where you think best.
Torturing innocent little kids for years until they develop life long mental disorders might be ok for you. You might enjoy writing that process down but for most people that's too far. They simply can not follow the protagainst there. Instead of trying finding a better more efficient way to make the parasite. The over achieving Mr.Bones settles for the standard way of making them. Because Mr.Bones always settles for the standard. He never tries to improve anything.(/s) For some unknown reason when it comes to child abuse the standard is good enough. It's not like you've written an entire story where the protagonist is defined by his exceptional genius, chronic overachievements and shattering of anything standard. Whatever you where trying to do with this action is forced. Your reasons don't matter. You excuses are lazy. It simply doesn't follow that Mr. Bones couldn't find an alternate more efficient method. (that doesn't involve child abuse) Instead he settles for the standard method.
