death is like a real thing so why is everybody so outraged that it happened in a novel like honestly how else is he supposed to build character as someone with a broken power? was he supposed to stay the ignorant lazy person the whole time did you not want to see development in this character?

The author could have shown us a meaningful interaction between the mc and his mom so we could feel more about his reason for getting stronger and character development. But it made me feel like his mom is just a reason and a plot device instead of a character.

I'm dropping. this story took a shot turn killing off his parents just for conflict.
