Maybe teach Haki to a couple of people, build his relationship with Pakura, spend time with his sister, deal with clan related matters like will he be the next head of the clan or will he have to deal with danzo spys in the clan. You can also have him build relationships with other future clan heads to get ahead in the political game.

hey whats the point of timeskip if there's no advance in strengh , moreover its 1 year time skip , i mean he could use that 1 year at least to surpass minato or get future sight in observation haki

it would also be cool if he had maybe a kid or neice or nephew he trained during the time so when canon starts they are part of Narutos class and he could finally train an uchiha

He could leangen fuinjutsu, avance his taijutsu and expand his chakra and controlll during the 1yr timeskip

or just give Friday a devil fruit as well, I suggest something like a mythical zoan dog dog fruit model Cerberus or something, up to you

how a about a partial transformations like just the hand turn into claws or his legs to wolf legs to make him faster or just his head to bite or scare people

just got another idea, you could make him increase his chakra to the point that his transformation slowly gains more tails practically becomeing a tailed beast

For the time skip if you don’t plan on using it there was something about a tower near wind country where time was warped you could maybe use that and make something up about how his body aged a bit and he was propelled into the future or just trained there for sometime :/
