Based on this I'm really liking James so far. I think he does have the makings of a good Alpha, but he's a kid still and wants to do teenager things. He's smart, a little rebellious and doesn't seem terribly impressed with powergrabbing schemes of his father. Whether he doesn't like it or simply doesn't care is debetable. Right now he's an ally and it doesn't seem like they'd lose a lot by working with him.
