Author-san at least make it a little bit realistic with the mc reaction toward the system giving him punishment. I mean the way i see it your mc conversation with the system goes like this System : "so yeah i basically have control over your life" Mc : "Oh good to know" Well it's just my opinion you can ignore it if you want
The only things that is "upsetting" in the novel is the system. Because of how the system talk and use the "quest" the MC is nothing but a puppet to it and it prevent any "pay off". Havin a system' slave instead of a MC that "choose" make it impossible to understand him and break most interest we can have in him. In the end, the system can make him do whatever it want whenever it want and the MC will never be the master of his own life.
