Break In

Inside the resting place of the restaurant.

The lady manager, Kyouko was eating her parfait.

Yachiro couldn't help but ask, "Kyouko-san, why did you hired that boy earlier? He seem to be forced earlier to take the job?"

"Oh, I don't know about being forced part but if you're asking me why I hired him. The reason is simple, really. I know that kid."

"You know that kid Kyouko-san? But he didn't seem to know you." Yachiro said.

"He doesn't know me but I know him from my friend of mine. Her name was Tamako, when we hangout sometimes he was showing me her pictures on her phone about a this two kid. The other one was her son, and the other one was her sons friend."

"And she tells me that he was just like us when we were young. So that's why I keep staring at him earlier to remember the photo Tamako used to make me see. That's why I hired him." Kyouko continued saying.

"Kyouko-san's friend... I wonder if both of them are the same." Yachiro's focused on that sentence.

After that whole ordeal, Rinku was eating his lunch alone. Still negotiating with Sistene about his quest.

After pestering her many times, Sistene said, [You can always have a second job! Anyway, why don't you like this job? I think it's good for you.]

'Oh yeah, I could always take another part-time job' Rinku thought.

As for the question. Rinku said, "It's not that I want to be a waiter, sorta, it's just that you're being so manipulative."

[Oh, how naïve Rinku. Even though I'm a sentient system owned by you, in the end, I'm still a system. Systems make their host do something they didn't want to do. Though it's not something that happens very often, but sometimes we will give quest that host doesn't want to do.]

"..." Rinku was speechless for a second before saying.

"I never knew systems have that kind of function."

[Well, you got yourself a sentient system after all. Though many systems don't have sentient, they still follow the order of the one created them. So your loss if the one created the system your using is a psycho.]

Rinku was again speechless.

"Then why the harsh punishment?" Rinku grumble.

[Well, first even though you were baited to be hired, when you said "Yes" when she asked you if you're finding a part-time job and hired you on the spot making the system validate that statement as you being accepted at a work.]

[But you didn't expect that you will be hired at that time but it was already a done deal.]

"Then how about when I was asking earlier for a part-time jobs?"

[That's you taking the initiative to asked if there is a part-time job, which in turn they tell you what position is the job but you just say "I'll think about it". So there's really no acknowledgement on your part.]

[While earlier on the other hand, the one that asked was the manager lady, which you acknowledge that you where finding a part-time job, which in turn she hired you to be a part-timer in this restaurant.]

"So your saying, I got played by my own word?"

[Yes.]

[Moving on to the punishment part, since you want to quit after finishing the quest and not committing about the first job you taken, I need to show why you don't cheat a system.]

"So it's a threat..."

[Yes]

"Oh yeah, Sistene, why did you want me that much to work here?"

[Oh, that? I thought you would like it here, since big sis Tamako was friends with that manager lady.]

After saying his goodbyes' to his soon to be coworkers, Rinku then go back to the dojo to tell them his decision. After that, he have free time and just looking around in the city. Until he stumble a arcade store.

"A arcade store, never really been to arcade before, even from my past life." Rinku said to himself.

Curios, Rinku enters the arcade store. Many games, kids, gacha games, teenagers are present. Rinku was looking at a game top score name, which happened to be a initial of UMR. At first Rinku didn't really care, until he saw the other games top scorer name, which was almost all of them have the initial UMR.

"Who the fuck is this god? All most- no, not almost, all of them have the same initials." Rinku was shock at what he was seeing.

"And all of them are really a HIGH fucking score! I can't defeat that score if I don't use my power, but if I did that's to low for me."

Having seen all the store that can offer, Rinku just go to crane game and won his first plush toy, which was a cute blue rabbit that he didn't know what character from.

Going outside, the sun was already setting and becoming dark.

Deciding that it was time to go home, Rinku didn't teleport back, he called a cub and enjoyed his sweet time.

Stopping at his apartment building, Rinku was already in the front of his door but he stops and notice that the door is unlocked for some reason.

"I remember locking at it when I was going out, that means someone break in. But the door handle is not broken. A burglar?"
