Ok, how did Ulric find out? Lucrezia said she wouldn’t expose her while at Isaac’s kingdom and until the time was right so, is the right time now? who could have snitched to Ulrich otherwise? Our dearest Cupid who is “on a mission” somewhere? Or could it be that she was discovered by a jealous guard who didn’t take her being the favorite so well? Someone clearly took her to the guards’ quarters after the drunken night (I presume Lucrezia or Skender early morning as he arrived) as she didn’t wake up in Skender’s bed. So, did she have a slip at night? Her linen was in place so, did she talk in her sleep perhaps? But no, no, jealous or not, it couldn’t have been any of these guards... Skender or Rayven would’ve heard their thoughts on the way back... It is all very strange. King Isaac and his daughter seemed to have been thoroughly compelled, which begs the answer, were they...? and if so, by whom? Or could he be the one behind? But that doesn’t make sense either. Not only because he seems like a good man who cares about her but because Skender would’ve heard his thoughts upon leaving... unless he did and decided to do nothing about them? It couldn’t have been Rayven either, not only because it is unlike him and Angelica wouldn’t let him but because Skender can read his thoughts as well, so who else? I guess that only leaves us with Lucrezia, Zarus and Skender himself.... unless it was Constantine that wants to find out if Roxana is his true mate...? Pff. I’m probably overthinking so let’s stick to the most obvious: Lucrezia: Did she decide to take action seeing Skender so in control? Because it seems like he’s shut himself further, he’s grown colder and more in control. Could it be the blood? Could it be that now that he has quenched the thirst it is again all about the pain and the fear as the hunger has lees of a hold? Could this be the right time she was talking about that came way earlier than expected? I could for that... Zarus: I don’t know what happened to him. If he vanished to save his ssa or if Skender actually sent him with his newfound powers God know where... I hope he’s alright! If he is, I guess he could be behind this. And if that is true let’s hope things will turn out alright as he’s more carefree than Lucrezia and this is a serious matter, things could go badly or get out of hand if it isn’t the right time.... As for Skender... well that sounds like quite a stretch. He wouldn’t try to stop her from leaving like this... right? Pff... many possibilities... maybe Ulric found out through Uncle Ben somehow...? I’ll give up for the time. It was good seeing the sisters. It only makes me more curious about their past though. Luciana is darker but I still like her. Lucrezia doesn’t seem to have many people she trusts so I’m glad she has her. As Glad as I am that Fanny is there to comfort our poor girl. No wonder she’s crying, the fear, the anguish, the desire, frustration the heart ache of being kissed while as a man... Oh my. Can’t wait for what will happen next!
This chapter is a goodie! Now that Roxana has been captured by Ulric, it is a good time for Lucrezia to intervene. Who knows? Skender may come across Ulric and his men while they are on the way to the castle. If Skender is in his destroyer mode, it will quickly be over for Ulric and his men. The brawl in the tavern would look like a warm-up activity.
