ik the author was gonna pull some bs to get them back together but this is worse than I expected. Even him directly accepting her back 2 chapters ago would’ve been better. Did this dude just give her the amethyst token? why? why not just gold ? is he braindead ? or is it the author that doesn’t know what to do ? i am confused

I mean he's respecting her ability, and its not like 'hates' her, she's more like a random aquantiance at most. Not like he doesn't know her like with his ex-best friend. Here's to hoping there won't be any cliches of him being too late to reconcile if he does, though I have trust in Author considering what he's shown so far :))

He will now go through a phase where he will be forced to acknowledge that emotions are real. this is critical for his character development you literally cannot go through life relying on logic and rationality alone and he is about to learn that now and potentially move away from his slightly psychotic tendency
