Having a lot of generic battles is boring. What makes battles great are the stakes and the intensity. Who likes meaningless battles ? Romance can help with that. Also, a good battle needs to have some tension build up, and it takes time.

I really enjoyed this volume Eve, you did some great work, hopefully the next one will be even better 😉. It would be interesting if you were to introduce other female characters later in the story, trying to get close to Khan (not wanting any harem here). Are we about to see Martha again ? Anyway, do you plan to write some chapters to keep us updated about what is going to happen on Nitis ? Maybe some chapters with Doku's pov or Illman'pov would be interesting.

I think the romance having pauses is completely fine.

Unpopular opinion: Kinda glad Khan’s getting some space. I don’t hate romance but when its taking up 2/3’ds of a story based around space exploration, it starts to become frustrating.

The reason I like to read is to find books that can make me feel this much, this volume was perfect in my opinion, a few characters I liked didn't make it, mainly Yeza, I feel Liiza may have lost too much between her mom,her aduns, and some friends, the only people close to her are her friends that survived now, maybe she can reconnect with her father. I do hope that George and Havaa can make it, George deserves to be happy, and Havaa is a good match.
