I'm getting a bit of foreshadowing from this. Khan having the first human baby with mana would only make sense for the story.
That development had obviously taken thousands of years but remained an excellent example of how quickly things could change with mana. According to the experts, a few centuries might be enough to give birth to the first human with mana. I'm sure they have done such training growing up. They have to be a cut above the rest as noble descendants. But I think the killing of other human beings is what really had them messed up. They are ready to make hard decisions but not ready for the battlefield. You are still right to call some of them coddled though.

It seems that way but since Milia 222 he loves so differently it's hard to classify his actions the way we would humans. Before he got there he wasn't even looking for anyone else. He can only follow his mana.
