Weeeell Khan might have some real problems with the army soon if his emotions go haywire at some point ( love for Liiza, friendship of Niqols or disgust for humans )

I don't even know the niqols and I'm disgusted by the human army good lord they are as bad as that crystal city group.

so kill the army on the planet. blame the crisis, use the merits and political capital of being one of the few humans of trust to get an influential position in the new group that replaces the losses. spare George and most of the students, ect.

The Global army has always had major contributions to his suffering: both Istrone and Nitis events are products of the human global army's need to conquer or take advantage of other races and planets. And his 11 years in the slum caused by the Global army exiling and restricting his Dad. I'm sure the Nak in the second impact probably cared more about him than the humans (or Global army) ever will.

The humams ain't to be take all the blame really, if the aliens had been honest about the sunlight from the start and requested for help from the human side, everything would have been all good.

To be fair to the army, communication goes both ways. The niqols still won't talk about daylight even to Khan. Why should they expect help when they are also hiding potential life-saving info?
