So are we seriously going to let Sasuke keep insulting this guy every chance he gets and Naruto just smiles and ignores it. I can understand the author wanting him to be more intelligent and mature but let's not forget he is an uzumaki and they don't take insults lightly. Also it's just not in his character to allow someone to keep insulting him and getting away with it. Another thing is this trying to be Sakura's friend. Why do this when he already has Hinata, Ino, and Tenten to be his women. why still care about Sakura who is just plain annoying in almost every scene she is in.
I don’t know about your A/N. Maybe not show them fight everything but I wouldn’t mind hearing at the end he pranked a lot of the dangerous animals there to the point they give him a wide berth. Make Ankos home away from home his own playground. Another author even used his pranking skills during the Chunin exam. Set up a stupid level of traps here. Maybe Naruto goes nuts with the traps and leaves them, only for Anbu to use them in the future for training. Several FFs had the Anbu like his pranks as they felt it allowed for training while they were on guard.
