Please tell me the MC will get smarter and stronger as the story progress

I mean we have already known he’s naive. Repeating this wont change anything. He has zero backstory. we dont know what he did growing up. He is naive. Aleshia has more screen time than our supposed “MC”. You’re just digging a bigger and bigger hole for yourself. I dont see how this is going to improve unless you stop writing everything from Aleshia’s POV. The only way we can see MC grow is if you actually write about him!

So the MC is the son of the richest merchant in the city, his father never let him train as a mage or warrior but forced in to study as a merchant his entire life but now suddenly he is very naive and acts like a 12 years old?

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Are you telling me his father, who is probably grooming her son as successor has just kept MC in a box up untill this novel started. Are you telling me son of an merchant and noble if I got that correctly doesn't know value of money and doesn't have quite a bit of knowledge and experience on how to deal with people? At this point it feels like MC literally spawned into existence when novel started instead of being 16 or whatnot.
