This Dawn girl was virtually raised by governesses to make her a prim and proper 3 year old miss. A governess coming to pick her up is nothing new. She'll go home to at least see her mother and grandmother more often than being at Tom's. I bet you she won't miss anybody else. Only Lucy and perhaps with time, even Lucy would just become a childhood memory with passage of time. Dawn would not be denied sustenance nor is she necessarily going to be subject to neglect so Lucy, please please stop making a fuss about her welfare and turning everyone against you.
While I see the parallels, the main difference is that Dawn is literally a 3 year old child who is being put into an uncertain situation. While I agree that it’s not dire, it also could be traumatizing for a small child to be shuttled around to people who don’t want her. Someone has to look out for her best interests and since her own mother isn’t doing it, Lucy has stepped up. I think the rest of the family is being uncharacteristically callous, tbh. Kimberly isn’t trustworthy, which is all the more reason to be protecting Dawn, not washing their hands of her.
seriously Lucy need to stop being a hypocriteeven if dawn is a 3years old and she is looking for her best interest, what she did is not acceptable by any mean.i am happy that she understood their point by the end, yet I am furious at the whole thing, why does she always have to do such things after every special moment she has with Tom.i feel vad for him already.
i think author wrote this chapter to show Lucy everyone has a price, has in weak point. Down is not even her child and she is ready to fight the whole house for her. someone that one a normal circumstances she should be the first to say she should leave considering the fact that her mom is eying her position in Tom's life. when you are in some shoe there are so meddling you will do and you will not even realize it. thank you Miss B for this chapter 💋💋
Wow. I couldn't even finish reading all of this chapter. everyone ganging up Lucy and making it all about Kimberly when it should be all about Dawn, as was Lucy's concern, got my sonupset I couldn't stand to read the entire chapter. I just skimmed the second half. Evelyn is just being a witch here. she got upset and ripped Lucy a new one when Lucy asked her bot to meddle with her and Tom's relationship. after all, this whole mess is because of Evelyn meddling in their relationship. so why is it wrong for Lucy to be concerned about a 3 year old kid? she's not meddling, she wants to make sure that Dawn is going to be okay. I seriously do not understand these people. Lucy is fine being concerned and worried about Dawn. the rest are all jerks for not caring about her one bit.
