just expressing my thoughts but i feel this heat the collector is feeling is what i presume to be its natural emotions that was once suppressed by the collective to keep them in line, also feel it'll either come in handy later on as it learns more of itself emotional wise or it'll become a heavy detriment in midst of a fight

Hoping MC stays this smart throughout the series, it is probably his emotions that are coming up but please don't make it into a really big deal and change everything about him :( Awesome story so far.

Since there are dominators and infectors and warriors is there possibly a queen collector that lays eggs for the base stat utility collectors?

I'm disappointed that the collector didn't choose the subterfuge path as that would be far more efficient at gathering information. Also, if it were to evolve shape shifting abilities later on, it would make its stealth capabilities far more deadly and would have little trouble to blend in with the local population until it figured out what it was dealing with
