Is it only me or does the Collective sound a lot like the Zerg from StarCraft? Nice book nonetheless hope it goes well

A good read, Highly descriptive and immersive writing, One small issue in the first paragraph where you forgot a word but other than That literally perfect writing!

Nice start! I really enjoyed the collectors thought process and can not wait to see what it does with new knowledge and tools it will gain!

Let's see... A new novel! and with it the first chapter! Judging by the quality. The first of many, I suppose. We can see the introduction of the non-human MC very, very well done. A alien, a ruthless creature that promises nothing but destruction and consumption in order to increase its strength. The collector! (cool name), part of a connected whole called collective and a highly evolved, dangerous being. The writting is immersive, descriptive and notoriously executed. And all that for the chapter 1! witch closes wonderfully with the collector (not ressurecting, btw.) starting anew! lets see how he does.

Now this is interesting conundrum. In DnD setting gods are the most powerful receivents of energy. If faith is greater energy generator than whatever Collective does what it will do for hyper efficient processes of the collective? Would "farming" believers be better than harvesting biomass?

that was intense. and considering some human alliance was able to beat a collector by a construct, does that mean some human tech has reached a level where it's almost magic?
