I see two major problems with this beginning that make me disinterested in the story: 1. This betrayal that causes the MC's mindset flip is such a farce. These two people come across as his classmates and none of their interaction indicates different, so I don't get why he would be that emotionally hurt from their betrayal that his mindset would flip. When I read the synopsis, I expected the betrayal to come from family members or lovers or bff. Why is the MC so shocked by this behaviour? It is implicitly said that this situation in the world is going on for years, so it should be common knowledge that such situations can occur and one should be careful to choose their teammates. The MC is also bullied, so despite having a positive mindset, he should realistically be aware that humans are not trustable angels. All these questions make his mind flip so illogical that it comes across to me as a farce. 2. What behaviour of the MC caused the God of Mischief's interest? I can see no action or behaviour. The opposite in fact. He behaves quite dumbly(choosing wrong teammates, not realising that they are unworthy of trust, then this illogical thinking) and that makes this god's interest happen for no reason. Considering from the title "God of Tricksters", I expected the MC to have qualities of a trickster like intelligence or cunning or since this is the beginning and to leave room for the MC's growth, the budding of such qualities.
