Quinn has Recon, he knew stuff was up, so he made a plan like always. He made a fabricated video for the last few minutes of the maze and disconnected the artificial eye. Chances are in last chapter when he snapped his figures, he knocked himself out. Even if he does for whatever reason to lose an eye, he could create a new one based on his other eye as a blueprint. He has done much more complex self transfiguration before, so not much trouble there. The shoulder pat is most likely be an electronic bug, or an enchantment for the "Far Voice" thing he learned a few years ago to speak to the charms professor so everyone can hear what was being spoken, or it could be a tracker that he placed so he could locate them and gave the tracker signal to Albus as a backup if the flare were not to work for any reason. I can't wait for the next chapter.
You know with the fake eye and ravens quinn is starting to give off real odin vibes. ps i would like to see self enchantments to the body maybe with tatoos to go with the bidy mind soul thing. or ritual magic as a connecting your magic with the worlds kind of thing as the next step. P.s.s if you go with the first one you could really play the whole viking thing up
The eye-magic was stupid anyways. Specially when he only used 1 eye (1 point of view) when he needed one for every champion (a total of 4 POVs). You would think Quinn would find other better options to solve this problem, when he has knowledge of cameras, but Nope. Or if magical-cameras were too complex to make, use his own magic to scan visually, or using his sonar or whatever, and then make an illusion based of what info he scanned
