Middle Earth seems like a good move. You could introduce the rings of power and use the MC's accession to demi-godhood to flesh out the story.

What about sending him to LOTR, Warhammer Fantasy, WH40K before the Imperium/Dark Age of Technology, Narnia, Warcraft, Medieval Era, Overlord, HP universe, Marvel or Danmachi?

hey since this is a game of thrones setting why not just send him 100 years before the doom and have him compete with other dragonlords. if you change it to another world then you kind of loss a lot of audience since most of us started reading it because it was a game of thrones fanfiction.

Well danmachi, the hero of the shield, arifureta and etc...

You can use this galaxy make more technology advencment when he goes in space he finds that he is in Mass effect , Star wars or Dead space universe.

I would say either the Middle Ages or get sent to Danmachi…Danmachi is basically the Middle Ages with the Gods there as well, would also pull in an underserved fandom (good danmachi fanfics are very very few, most rarely go past a few chapters before being abandoned)

I would like a new GOT fanfic where the MC is apart of one of the 7 kingdoms houses. maybe a new one for the new serie house of the dargon

If you do go the Middle Ages route please dont pick an easy (France, UK, Spain, Germany) country to start with…go with a tougher start (Sweden/Denmark, Russia, Ireland, Switzerland, Greece) as a way to have a way to make your MC get access to better Gods (Norse, Greek/Roman) or lesser known Gods that you could have gain power and thus empower MC more by making them more widespread

Tbh, I like the sound of the second option. It could also be used to show the mc's individual power and skill. Also it will push him to make his own religion through the system because he'll be at a disadvantage without it compared to other kingdoms.

think option 2 is kind of a good approach

What about a story based in the real world maybe around the mongol empire time or even during Roman Empire times maybe even in the medieval time period there’s so much history we have that can be made into a story

witcher takes place in medieval setting right...? why not go there?
