AimeeLynn
Just finished reading it with a smile on my face! I love how you gave everyone a proper ending and I was pretty much right about Lerrin! Lol Surprisingly out of everyone I really wanted him to get his happy ending and live out his dream, because he NEVER wanted to be an Alpha even though heâs a natural. And how he took ownership of his mistakes, corrected his wrongs, and admit fault publicly, when that is soooo hard to do. Many of our political leaders can learn a great deal from and Reth. I was impressed that you readdressed Eliaâs kidnapping when she came back to the human world. Even if everything works out in the end and is for the best, taking away a personâs (especially a womanâs) right to make decisions for their self is NEVER okay. I absolutley LOVED that you made their first born a girl and Reth being ecstatic about it. I always get disappointed when I read novels that are centered on strong women but then the 1st born aka the heir is a boy. Like letâs keep this strong women theme going with the heirs to the throne being girls. Anyways, like any novel there were things I disliked (like the Animaâs lack empathy. lack of diversity, peopleâs lack of respect towards Rethâs authority - cough cough Charyn cough - and things I loved (the focus on self redemption, humility, humanizing leaders in times of war, the charactersâ growth). This book made realize that we seldom get to the internal struggle of saving as many lives as possible while defeating the enemy leaders go through. At first, I viewed Rethâs struggle as being weak and him being ill suited to rule. As I kept reading, it occurred to me that way of thinking is the definition toxic masculinity. So I found myself seeing familiar scenarios from a new perspective. Thatâs one of the best things about reading. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your book, your interactions with us readers, and am going to read the sequel! âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸
