Biting Peaches
What you said feels kind of contradictory to me. She's an adult, meaning she should not be as easily swayed by some of these actions. Just to reiterate: he strangled her. He seemed to want to kill her. Then, for some reason, he changed his mind. Being unpredictable is not an indication of safety, especially to an adult. Adults are not as changeable as children and that fear seems like it would be pretty hard to overcome. It's also not rational. She may be able to rationalize that he's more unlikely to kill her now, perhaps, but that doesn't tend to make the fear from the action, or the acknowledgement that he actually could still want to kill her, go away entirely. She also doesn't appear to have memory loss, hence the feeling, to me, that this is not consistent with her character.
Quietquil:She's actually an adult though, and seeing him say he has a granddaughter on TV, plus trying to give her toys, then the feast on the show.. she knows he's unpredictable, but unlikely to actually hurt her. He did scare her last time, but she's aware enough to know that had he wanted to actually kill her, she would already be dead.
