Honestly this is my favourite arc out of all of Cuttlefish’s works, not due to the twist but mostly because of Hey’s response and the way the room 506 resolution tied into it. I haven’t seen any other work take such a firm stance on injustice from those in power, even while acknowledging that bad stuff might happen to those you care about. This is what makes Cuttlefish my favourite author. “No peace without justice” and all that.
The injustice here is they got a lighter sentence coz they are related to power. It's like when some villain has murdered a person, but was only threatened to never do it again instead of spending time in jail or death penalty because this villain is related so higher up.
Thokeus:I'm still not sure what's the injustice- they got rid of all the problems in the church, and make sure it won't go overboard anymore. It's not like Shiang Jiao is against churches no matter what anyway.
I feel bad for all the people who are missing out on this novel. This is probably the top novel on this site, right up there wirh LotM. Imagine being ignorant to such a masterpiece. Did the last man convince everybody to not read this because the grammar is too complicated for most of HIS believers to understand?
seems like the big boss came across something she shouldn't have known and got the whole 4th research institute implicated, also the live stocks and implication they would have died seems to imply that they are reared to be sacrificed, using humans as fuels? what do they need them for? probably as a source of energy in the new world and using them leads to pollution(something which comes in way of kalendaria) in the new world which is the heartless disease which they release back the 8th research institute most probably opened a portal somewhere and got the whole world implicated
