To be honest I rather like the underwhelming feeling of this chapter. It goes to show Marvin's increased strength, as well as to clearly highlight the inflated ego of the surrounding mobs. "King" was never meant to be more than a momentary blip in Marvin's journey, thus a single chapter fight fits perfectly.
