Comments of chapter undefined of Dark Phoenix Prince

Ugh. Alu moaning to himself that 'he can't bare to harm the Dragon Princess'. Sigh... And really, I agree. Zaden has been a great father to Alu, but Alu is clearly too obsessed with the Dragon Princess to realise his father's affections.

and he still gave you power, even with your reasons, zaden, he still gave you the opportunity to be stronger, what he receives in return, total contempt and ingratitude.

well. respect for zaden for me whether he hates his father doesn’t bother me because he made his bestfriend lover his enemy. although he doesnt regret it now, he is still anxious about her news and also hating his father means there is a shrink of emotion left in him. that could be a problem but it could be fixed later when he defeats and kills the dragon princess. and for him to truly cut off relations from his father, protect him when the dragon princess comes and save his life. kill the dragon princess and the truly cold blooded character would form. the mother part could be a problem but if thinking logically he has a little amount of emotion left meaning that with a little push which is paying off debt and killing past relation, he could become emotionless and ignore the mother. the author might not allow him to not care about his mother though.

In a world where power is all that matters Alu truly has the most loving father he is willing to give him all the power he can find at all cost just to make sure his son has a un hindered life

It's kinda sad how everyone whines about Alu still having emotions. He could have been a self-serving machine from the get-go, just like about any other anti-hero protagonist... but where's the fun in that? It would also make any future character development night impossible (unless you want him to turn around and start regaining his emotions). Also, he would prolly also love to stop caring about the princess and stuff, but emotions don't really work that way... Moreover, if I got it right, his father's been treating him coldly to make him merciless, and it's the norm for kids who grow up like that (without someone openly showing them affection) to cling onto any warm memories they have, so it's not even all that surprising. In conclusion, it just feels like no one wants human characters in anti-hero novels and I really don't get why.

Are there just idiots here by chance? What the hell is this distorted affection you say Vaden has for your son? Forcing your son to almost kill your best friend is a sign of affection? Treat him coldly and as if he were a tool is affection ok, the world of this novel is cruel, but two mistakes don't make a deal, did he really need to have done what he did? Alu wasn't the most talented person of all, but was his talent really so horrible? Vaden was so so unable to protect his son? Vaden had his reasons, however, even if any of those reasons was affection ... it was an affection coming from a distorted mind. And his actions can hardly be considered acceptable.Well, at least this is mine opinion
