It’s kind of a lot of plot holes here emery is well known as the savage acolyte. Especially how the last academy closed why is his name treated as unfamiliar. Why would the academy heavily recruit emery for underhand methods to be allowed so much unexplained I believe I should just allow this story to build
Emery is famous among the new magus, even the last celestial event involved a new magus that breakthrough less than 20 years old. These instructors were veterans/ famous with dozens, hundreds of years of reputation. this is getting lame, all talks about revamps etc. and same things keep happening again and again. No point talking about resolving it later since point of revamps would be to prevent this kind of thing in the first place. Any regular person would just go screw this and train somewhere else or even if possible go to opposing teams and become such a threat that its just not worth taking over the home planet. Just my 2 cents but doubt I'll be getting more privilege.
