I think the Author did a good job. For the first time Emery was able to stand his ground and say how he feels.💯💯

I just noticed a situational flip in Emery's character. At the magus academy, he's a lot nicer, a bit naive and very altruistic. Something Silva can vouch for. On earth his personality is a lot tougher, stoic and goal-oriented. Maybe it's part of his growth or just the difference in environment. I would like to see him more like this in the Magus world.

finally a decision that makes sense. he finally stood up for himself and didn't just bend over backward for no reason. Gwen is still a racist so I'm glad he didn't just beg for her forgiveness or something silly like that.

Finally I can accept this decision he finally spoke the truth because those humans betrayed him even after everything is father did for that kingdom . Some may not agree with but emery focus needs to be on getting stronger settling things with maeve . As much as he cares for gwen she needs to be in the past its clear they got different paths and emery future is higher than her so he needs to let her go so he can finally focus on the mission

She cant even see what she did wrong and made it about her. He even went and saved her which wouldnt be far fetched if he didnt just to return the same favour. Plus he is out of her league, whats a weak selfish princess going to offer? Few tears and a corrupt kingdrom thats falling apart? Wouldnt she just stab him in the back for the next stronger person to protect her royal position... I might just be a little anti Gwen... Just a little.

Never thought I'll say this but I'm proud of Emery. He finally stood up for himself. Gwen isn't needed anymore and she even tried to slap him?🤦🏻‍♂️ If she cared about him and was smart, she'd know that trying to find out why he did what he did would've been the best course of action. It's not like Emery owes her an explanation after what she said to him anyway but she should've asked for one. I thought she slapped him.....i almost flipped😂

I still think they should make up sometime in the near future

That type of attitude is dangerous. If he keeps it up he’ll end up leaving everyone behind as he moves farther along his path. Stand at the top of everything just to die alone.

Absolutely enjoyed the chapter. The rollercoaster of emotions were so very realistic!

While it could have gone better, it is for the best that Emery moves on from Gwen emotionally. Whether it be lifespan or power Gwen can't match Emery. While it is sad that she lost her adventure buddy, it would never work between the two of them. Now, who is currently in the lead for MFL? Personally I like Glita, but she basically doesn't stand a chance. Second choice Klea is married, but hopefully she will fix that. Morganna is a strong candidate, and I don't care for tsunderes like Silva. Well, we shall see. Looking forward to more author!

In time he can forgive, but she too should apologize for what she did, rather than give excuses. Until then, even just honest friendship will not be possible.

Gwen is the worst character in this story, nothing is likeable in her. She is just a pretty face

People keep talking about how Gwen is a garbage person, and I just don't get it. I mean, we've been shown many times that she's a kind, caring person who cares deeply about her kingdom and it's people. One rash decision in the heat of the moment, due to a traumatic experience in her childhood, doesn't make her a terrible person. People need to stop hating on her just because they're simping for a different potential love interest.
